The listings are a starting point

Listings are compiled from open place data and generated automatically. They may be out of date, incomplete or wrong. Studios close, move, change hands, change phone numbers and change what they offer without telling anybody. Always confirm directly with a business before traveling to it, booking with it, or relying on anything you read here about it.

Inclusion in this directory is not an endorsement, a recommendation, or a statement that a business or any practitioner working there is competent, licensed, insured, screened or currently trading. We do not verify credentials. Exclusion means nothing either: it usually means the open data did not describe the business in a way our filters recognized.

Nothing here is medical advice

The guides, category descriptions and calculators on this site are general information for people booking a treatment. They are not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a substitute for talking to a clinician who knows your history.

Massage, heat therapy and cold therapy are genuinely contraindicated in some circumstances. If you are pregnant, taking anticoagulants, in cancer treatment, recovering from surgery, or managing a cardiovascular, neurological, skin or blood pressure condition, speak to your doctor before booking and tell your practitioner what is going on. If something hurts during a treatment, say so immediately rather than waiting for it to end.

Medical spas are a different category

Listings categorized as medical spas offer procedures that are medical in nature and regulated as such. Nothing on this site should be read as a view on whether any particular clinic, practitioner, device or procedure is safe or appropriate for you. Those decisions belong with a qualified clinician.

The calculators are estimates

Every calculator on this site is a model, and models simplify. They work from the numbers and answers you enter, reflect common practice rather than any rule, and know nothing about your body or your circumstances. Real prices, policies and results will differ.

Licensing information

Where this site links to state regulators or describes how licensure works, treat it as a pointer to the right agency and the agency itself as the authority. Regulations change, agencies get reorganised, and scope of practice differs by state.
